The first fixed or portable VHF (COBRA H300/H400 ) imported by POCHON were already immersion-proof as standard, whereas IPX7 waterproofing was a relatively expensive option with our competitors. Another advantage was that the accessories that are usually optional were also supplied as standard with the device (bracket, 220v and 12v charger, battery box, etc.). Finally, a low-price policy pursued both by the manufacturer and by our company did the rest, and a large number of sailing clubs, professionals and yachtsmen are equipping themselves with our VHFs.
In 2010 COBRA almost 2 years ahead of its competitors has launched the 1st Bluetooth-equipped VHF, the COBRA H475. This portable VHF takes over from your mobile phone, which stays dry inside the boat. It was also one of the first floating VHFs, with a transmit power of 6 Watts. The latest version, the H600, is equipped with an integrated GPS, active DSC function in the event of an emergency, MOB function, automatic flashing light and Lithium Ion battery for extended autonomy. The H150 VHF announced for 2019 will be ultra-compact, IPX7 waterproof and floating.
